Hey everyone! I just applied frosted vinyl on my kitchen window, but I’m struggling with trimming the excess around the edges. I’ve been using regular scissors, but it’s hard to get clean straight lines. What tools do you recommend for trimming vinyl neatly after application? Would love some advice from those who’ve done this before!

I had the same issue when working with frosted windowfilm. Regular scissors just don’t cut it for precision trimming. What helped me was using a sharp utility knife or an X-Acto blade, paired with a metal ruler as a guide to get straight cuts. I found some good tips on tool choices and techniques at https://applyityourself.com. It made the trimming process much cleaner and easier to control.

I’ve never done vinyl work myself, but I imagine having the right tools makes a huge difference. Using a blade with a ruler sounds smart to avoid jagged edges. Sometimes the smallest detail like the tool you use can change the whole result.
