InactiveHi guys! Maybe someone has encountered this? I am planning to move from Chicago to the suburbs of Detroit. I have only moved once about 10 years ago and even then it was 3 streets further, and this is serious: a child, furniture, a bunch of boxes, plus I am organizing everything on my own. I am currently looking at local moving companies, and one of those that constantly pops up in the search is Two Men and a Truck. Honestly, I have never heard of them before. Has anyone used their services? I am especially interested in how flexible they are, whether it is possible to partially pack it myself and give them only part, and how they are with prices and attitude. I do not want to run into rude movers or a million hidden fees. Share your experience if anyone has worked with them!

InactiveI understand your concerns very well – I went through the same thing not long ago. I was moving from Nashville to Atlanta, and I also looked at a bunch of companies. In the end, I chose 2 men and a truck, because I was won over by the fact that everything is very simple and transparent: you can choose what exactly you want and what you don’t. Like you, I wanted to pack everything myself except the kitchen and fragile items – I gave these parts to them. They not only accepted it without any questions, but even helped with advice on how to best pack the rest so that there would be no problems later during loading. Their specialty is their staff. Seriously, the guys who came to me were just top notch. Polite, no swearing, no fuss, no smoking every 10 minutes. One of them even helped me take the door off its hinges to drag in the sofa (which I measured incorrectly, by the way), and he didn’t charge a penny for it. As for the prices, yes, I wouldn’t say that this is the cheapest option on the market, but at least there are no surprises. I received an exact estimate in advance, they sent it by email, and the final bill differed from it by 12 dollars because I asked them to move another box from the garage (in fact, it was my initiative). So in terms of transparency, Two Men and a Truck is a solid five. Another plus is that they are really flexible with the time. I rescheduled the moving date 2 days before the scheduled one (the neighbor upstairs suddenly started major repairs, and I could not load), and they calmly moved everything without a penalty. They only asked to confirm everything in writing.

InactiveI have also heard of “Two Men and a Truck”, my colleague moved from Ohio to Indiana through them. She praised them for their neatness and the fact that they did not have to look for packing materials separately – they brought everything to them. I am still looking, but judging by the real story, they really deserve attention.

InactiveMoving companies can get booked up, especially during peak seasons (spring and summer). Start looking at least 4–6 weeks in advance. Use resources like:
Google reviews and Yelp
Better Business Bureau (BBB)
Recommendations from friends or real estate agents
Moving-specific platforms like Moving.com or HireAHelper

InactiveWhen it comes to moving, it can be daunting at first. But by accepting the situation and contacting experienced moving professionals, moving can be quite simple and easy. That’s exactly what happened with our move. I turned to AZ Moving https://az-moving.com/ . They stand out as the best partner for those who need a move, no matter how complicated it is. It was nice when they took everything into their own hands and made my move stress-free

InactiveI recently read an article that we change our homes and surroundings at least 5 times in our lifetime. Have any of you ever moved? I realized that this is true because I recently changed jobs and had to move to another city. I used the services of professional movers https://promoversandstorage.com/ to move my belongings from my old apartment to my new one. The work was done calmly and without fuss. No one was in a hurry, but at the same time everything was done quickly and clearly.
