Tranexamic acid is generally well-tolerated, but like all medications, it can cause side effects. Common side effects include headache, back pain, stomach discomfort, muscle or joint pain, tiredness, and sinus or nasal symptoms. Some people may also experience nausea, diarrhea, or vomiting.

Serious Tranexamic Acid Side Effects are rare but require immediate medical attention. These include sudden vision changes, chest pain, shortness of breath, or signs of a blood clot such as swelling, redness, and warmth in an arm or leg. Severe allergic reactions-such as swelling of the face, lips, or throat, difficulty breathing, or a severe rash-are also possible and should be treated as emergencies.

If you notice any unusual symptoms or side effects while taking tranexamic acid, contact your healthcare provider promptly.
