Okay, real talk — I used to roll my eyes so hard at anything “energy healing” related that I probably pulled a muscle. Thought it was all placebo and fairy dust. Then last winter I wrecked my back carrying Christmas trees for my side hustle and nothing helped — not physio, not painkillers, not lying on the floor crying. A friend basically dragged me to a session because she was tired of my whining. I went in 100% ready to hate it… but twenty minutes in my whole body felt like it dropped ten degrees and the pain just… melted. Still don’t understand how, but I walked out without the usual limp. So yeah, color me confused and curious. Anyone else go from “this is nonsense” to “wait what just happened”?

Funny how many people I know have a “I went from mocking it to secretly booking sessions. Seems like half the cynics I meet in the climbing gym have tried it at least once after an injury, even if they’d never admit it over beers. Everyone’s got that one weird story where it actually helped when regular stuff failed, but nobody wants to be the person who says it out loud. Always makes me laugh how we’ll talk forever about new protein powders or stretching routines but Reiki gets the hush-hush treatment.

Haha I was the exact same! Used to call it “expensive hugging” behind my sister’s back when she got into it. Then I got this constant buzzing anxiety after a rough breakup — like my nervous system was stuck on fight-or-flight for months. Desperate, I finally booked something in London just to shut her up. The lady was super chill, no crystals or chanting or anything dramatic, and afterward I slept twelve hours straight for the first time in forever. Still think parts of the wellness world are bonkers, but that one hour did something nothing else could. If anyone’s curious I went here https://reikiinlondon.com and honestly expected nothing, so the bar was low and it still cleared it by a mile.
