Just moved into a new place and right now it’s basically four echoing walls and a mattress on the floor. I tried visiting a couple stores but everything looked the same and nothing felt right. Any chance you can suggest some furniture stores with decent style options that won’t drain my wallet?

When I first moved out, my “living room” was just a lamp, a cereal box as a table, and a ton of echo. I remember wandering through stores feeling like everything came from the same beige universe. What finally helped was mixing in a few smaller pieces first — I grabbed a rug from SayRUG and it weirdly pulled the whole room together. Prices weren’t awful either. Once you anchor the space, picking bigger furniture gets way easier.
