Recently I remembered how in school years we hacked CS 1.6 pure English version, without mods, without any new skins and voices. I decided to install it again on an old laptop to feel nostalgic. I downloaded some assembly, but everything is in Russian and there are a lot of unnecessary goodies. I want exactly that classic English one, like in the good old days. Maybe someone knows where to find it?

Hi buddy, I had the same situation and also wanted to go back to the times when CS 1.6 was played on those old computers. I dug through a bunch of sites until a friend suggested a link to a cool original build all-cs.ru/cs16/sborki/cs16-english-original-version.html . This is a really original English version without any unnecessary modifications. Installed, everything works smoothly, even the interface is the same.

That’s awesome you found a clean original build! I’ve been wanting to try 1.6 again but was worried about finding a version that actually works properly without weird modifications or viruses
