How do you stop an anxiety spiral in its tracks?

    Whenever I feel like I’m losing control, my brain just shuts down and I can’t think clearly. From what you’ve experienced, is there a way to actually ground yourself when your emotions are completely taking over?

    Fighting a panic response with logic is usually a losing battle because your brain’s “alarm system” has already taken over. I’ve personally found that the only way to regain a sense of agency is to stop trying to “solve” the anxiety and start physically managing the physiological reaction.
