During summer, our living room gets unbearably hot and bright, making it uncomfortable to work or relax. I’ve heard about window treatments, but I’m curious if there’s a solution that doesn’t block the view entirely yet still reduces sunlight effectively?

I want something practical and durable. I’ve tried curtains and blinds, but they don’t feel as effective, and I’d prefer a long-term solution that doesn’t require constant adjustment.

I didn’t plan on changing anything in my place at first, but the sunlight started blasting through the windows every morning, making it impossible to work without squinting. At some point I just got tired of constantly lowering the blinds, so I looked into different options and came across window film installation. What surprised me is how fast the difference became noticeable — the glare dropped, the room felt cooler, and the space actually looked cleaner and more organized without heavy curtains. It’s one of those upgrades you don’t think about until you actually try it. The installation itself was super quick, and I didn’t expect it to change the comfort level this much.
