I’m currently at the stage of launching a small startup and suddenly realized how much time goes into manually collecting data from Google Maps. Recently I was sitting in the evenings copying addresses, phone numbers, and reviews for competitor analysis, and it turned out to be much more tiring than I expected. I started wondering if there are good ways to automate this process so you don’t spend a ton of resources on routine tasks, while still getting fairly accurate and up-to-date data. Has anyone already implemented such tools in a startup workflow?

Yes, I totally get you! I also once tried to compile a list of small shops in my area and got really confused by duplicates and missing contacts. It is important to clearly define what fields you need and how you plan to analyze the data before collecting it. I found it really helpful to have a structured spreadsheet and use filters to remove unnecessary records. I also recommend trying this tool to automate the process as it really saves a lot of time and stress.

I just came across this topic and got interested. Even though I don’t do scraping myself, it’s always fascinating to see how people handle large amounts of data and organize their projects. Sometimes, just observing someone else’s experience gives useful ideas on how to avoid chaos in your own lists or notes. I think any practical tips on organizing information are always valuable, even if you’re not planning to collect data right now.
